The Place

The former Potsdamer Platz Arkaden, a three-storey, glass-roofed shopping street at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, impresses with its modern architecture designed by the renowned architect Renzo Piano.

For the outdoor area, a building branding with LED dot matrix displays was developed and technically planned to display dynamic information. A light strip with iridescent colors provides atmospheric lighting and contributes to the unique atmosphere. The work and installation planning also included the installation of a free-floating lighting system that underlines the modern design of the arcades. A visual connection to the subway station ensures that the arcades are seamlessly integrated into the city’s transport network, further increasing the accessibility and attractiveness of the location.

The high-quality signage system was implemented to match the architectural design based on the designs of the brand agency “NEO”. The signage comprises a stele on a stone base, an entrance area with an illuminated logo and variable color changes as well as elegantly designed, illuminated ceiling signs and toilet markings. This signage system plays a key role in ensuring that visitors can easily find their way around and enjoy the atmosphere of the Potsdamer Platz Arkaden to the full.
