Viega is an expert in healthy drinking water systems within buildings and ranks among the global market and technology leaders in the plumbing industry. As a quality-oriented family-owned company with nearly 5,000 employees worldwide, Viega brings over 120 years of experience in building technology. Its core competencies include maintaining and advancing drinking water hygiene, energy efficiency, comfort, and building safety.
Viega has built the most fascinating, interactive training center in the entire construction industry called “Viega World,” covering approximately 12,000 square meters at its Attendorn location. Here, Viega’s central competency areas—such as maintaining water quality, energy efficiency, sound and fire protection, plumbing and drainage technology, and BIM—are not only taught in theoretical training sessions but also experienced and demonstrated firsthand in practical applications.
In collaboration with the project manager Preuss Project Partner GmbH from Munich, SIS was involved in an intensive planning process from early 2019 until completion in 2023.
In collaboration with Atelier Markgraph, responsible for conception, design, and brand presentation (www.markgraph.de), a wayfinding system was implemented that integrates seamlessly into the exhibition design.
Our assignment included systemic planning and mapping of the wayfinding system, technical drafting, creation of performance specifications, and specialist planning support through to implementation and acceptance.
