Marina Resort

In 2018, sis was commissioned to design and implement the wayfinding and signage system for the Arborea Marina Resort Neustadt i.H. on the Baltic Sea. This lifestyle resort, located on the Lübeck Bay, embraces the motto “Experience.Together” and features 124 rooms and suites, 2 conference rooms, 2 restaurants, a SPA area, as well as a fitness and class room. The challenge was to reflect the vision of the core concept, as well as themes of nature, health, and “Marina,” in the signage. In alignment with the interior design, metallic materials or wood were to be incorporated, with contrasting designs to aid orientation within the building. The result was a customized, simply structured, and logically designed wayfinding system in a maritime style with a high-quality appearance. The signage elements were divided into three categories: different text color schemes were used to distinguish between the public area, guest areas, and the SPA with its treatment zones.
