Airport Hamburg PLAZA

On December 4, 2008, Hamburg Airport opened the new PLAZA as part of its expansion program HAM 21. For nearly six years, sis has been working in collaboration with Horst Wicke Design on the planning of the new passenger guidance and information system at Hamburg Airport. The graphics and technology of the new guidance system have been completely updated. In several phases of expansion, while construction and flight operations continued, signage elements, location maps, screen designs, and passenger information systems were conceived and implemented according to the modern and outstanding architecture. A consistent and comprehensive orientation and information system has been realized across all areas, from the parking facilities to the terminals and the pier. In the future, sis will continue to be responsible for updates, new location map creations, and all aspects of communication design for the new Hamburg Airport.
