One of our early projects continues to define an important and well-known location in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. Commissioned by Alster-Touristik-GmbH and in coordination with the landscape architects from WES & Partner and the urban planning authority, we developed the totems for the docking areas of the “Weiße Alsterflotte” and the historic Alster steamer at Jungfernstieg in 2006. A multifunctional timetable totem was created, integrating various functions while maintaining a lightweight and elegant appearance. The totems are equipped with interchangeable timetable information, illuminate the docking edge, provide power for the ships, enable public address announcements, and house the life ring. Similarly, the information totems for the then “La Vela” and Hapag Lloyd were executed.
