On February 27, 2009, Bäderland opened its new swimming pool in Altona, featuring “Germany’s largest water play area for children.” According to reports, it offers “three times the water surface of the old Bismarck bath.” The “Festland” was designed and built by the architects “de Witt Janßen Partner” according to Bäderland’s specifications. The theme centers on Earth’s history and evolution, providing an immersive environment with the four main elements: water, earth, fire, and air. The walls of the mountains, caves, and volcanoes showcase ammonites, shells, and imprints of giant ferns and dinosaur tracks. In just 8 weeks of planning and execution, sis delivered a technically and graphically appealing signage concept.
